Late arrival and school day timings

Poor punctuality is not acceptable. If a child misses the start of the day, they can miss work and do not spend time with their class teacher getting vital information and news for the day.

• Late arriving students also disrupt lessons; it can be embarrassing for the child and can also encourage absence.

• Children will receive a late mark if they are not in registration on time.

• All children arriving after the registration period will be required to sign in at the front office. The reason for lateness must also be recorded.

• If a child has a persistent late record, parents/carers will be asked into school to meet with a member of staff to resolve the problem, but parents/carers can approach us at any time if they are having problems getting children to school on time.

School gates open: 08:45

School gates close: 09:00

Registers close: 09:00

Daily morning: 09:00 to 12:15

Daily afternoon: 13:15 to 15:15
